H6905 PermaLean – FAQ
What is PermaLean H6905?
PermaLean H6905 is a cost-effective industrial floor marking tape designed for 5S, lean manufacturing and workplace visual management. It is available as coloured rolls, letters, numbers and die-cut floor markers for identifying warehouse aisles, walkways, pallet locations, equipment areas and operational zones.
When should I choose PermaLean?
Choose PermaLean when you need an economical floor marking system for a warehouse, factory or production facility. At approximately 570 microns, or 0.57mm, thick, its lower-profile construction makes it particularly suitable for large 5S and factory floor marking projects where cost and material efficiency are important.
What is the difference between PermaLean, PermaStripe and PermaRoute?
PermaLean is approximately 0.57mm thick and provides a cost-effective option for lean floor marking. PermaRoute is approximately 0.96mm thick and uses a laminated construction suited to detailed floor signage and printed designs. PermaStripe is approximately 1.3mm thick and uses a heavier homogeneous construction for demanding industrial line marking.
Can PermaLean be used for 5S and lean floor marking?
Yes. PermaLean can support 5S floor marking by defining locations for materials, equipment, pallets, work cells and pedestrian routes. Coloured floor tape, arrows, letters, numbers and shape markers can be combined to create a consistent visual management system throughout a warehouse or factory.
Can PermaLean mark warehouse aisles and pedestrian routes?
Yes. PermaLean can be used to create warehouse aisles, pedestrian walkways, vehicle routes, production zones and other safety floor markings.
Different colours, arrows and footprint markers can help distinguish routes as part of a site-specific traffic management and workplace organisation system.
Can PermaLean be used to mark pallet and equipment locations?
Yes. L-shapes, T-shapes, X-shapes, dots and line blocks can identify pallet positions, equipment areas, storage locations and workstations.
Using individual floor markers instead of outlining every position with continuous floor tape can also reduce material usage, making PermaLean particularly useful for large warehouse floor marking projects.
What PermaLean floor marker shapes are available?
PermaLean is available as L-, T- and X-shapes, dots, line blocks, arrows, footprints, shoes, boot prints, letters and numbers. Corners, junctions, bridges and end caps can also be combined with continuous floor tape to create neat warehouse routes and floor marking layouts.
Can PermaLean be used for warehouse location and wayfinding systems?
Yes. PermaLean letters, numbers, coloured lines and arrows can identify aisles, bays, storage areas and destinations throughout a warehouse.
References such as A1, B12 or Zone 3 can complement an existing warehouse management or barcode system and help employees locate areas more efficiently. Warehouse location and barcode systems are recurring themes in the supplied search research.
What colours and sizes is PermaLean available in?
PermaLean is available in black, red, orange, yellow, green, dark blue and white, alongside red-and-white, black-and-white and black-and-yellow hazard options.
Standard rolls are 50mm, 75mm and 100mm wide and 30 metres long. Custom widths from 15mm up to 1,260mm can also be produced, subject to production requirements.
Can PermaLean be produced in custom shapes and sizes?
Yes. PermaLean can be produced in custom widths and die-cut into bespoke shapes for specific warehouse or factory layouts. This makes it suitable for unusual work cells, compact storage areas or applications where standard floor tape dimensions are not appropriate.
Custom designs may be subject to minimum order quantities and tooling requirements.
How is PermaLean protected from wear?
Solid-colour PermaLean is manufactured from homogeneous coloured film, so the colour runs through the material rather than being limited to a printed surface.
Printed hazard designs, such as black-and-yellow and red-and-white tape, use a clear protective laminate over the printed layer to help protect the pattern from everyday surface wear.
Is PermaLean better than floor paint for changing layouts?
PermaLean can be a practical alternative to floor paint when warehouse, production or 5S layouts may change. Self-adhesive floor tape and markers can be installed without painting extensive lines, while individual sections can be replaced as work cells, storage areas or routes change.
Floor marking tape versus paint is also a significant theme within the supplied Google research.
How durable is PermaLean?
PermaLean H6905 carries a conditional one-year warranty from the date of purchase. Its service life depends on floor preparation, traffic and how the marked area is used.
Pallets, transit skids and other heavy objects should not be dragged, pushed or scraped across the tape, as this can damage the floor marking and is excluded from the warranty.
Can I request a PermaLean sample before ordering?
Yes. PermaLean samples are available so you can assess the colour, thickness, finish and suitability of the floor marking tape before placing a larger order. Sampling is particularly useful when planning an extensive 5S or warehouse floor marking project.
