ColorCover Overview
Colour coded, self-adhesive 5S signs, suitable for quick and cost-effective application of 5S custom signs in any area.
Benefits
Using a standard inkjet or laserjet printer, your sign can be ready in minutes! Allowing for a way to change lean signs in areas that change purpose often.
ColorCovers are constructed from one thick piece of homogenous film, consisting of a clear window surrounded by a coloured frame, colours which are used in 5S optimisation in the workplace. The coloured frames are backed with a strong adhesive that holds to surfaces well, but will not be too difficult to remove if and when the time comes. The surface is also lightly embossed to prevent the sign from being a slip hazard if applied to floors.
ColorCovers allow you to create 5S custom signs that have no MOQ’s ( minimum order quantities ) or expensive printer costs. Print out your sign onto A4 or A5 paper from your standard desktop printer, place on the back of a ColorCover, message side down, remove the back film and apply on to a clean, dry surface. Once applied, ColorCover is ready to use immediately, with minimal to no downtime required to apply them.
Apply ColorCovers to doors, walls, marking bays, walkways and anywhere that will benefit from the application of 5S custom signs to increase safety and workflow efficiency in the workplace.
Sizes
ColorCover custom signs are available in two sizes, large 401mm x 314mm and regular 314mm x 252mm.
Colours & Custom
The colour choice allows ColorCovers to be used as part of a production workflow and to highlight potential hazards and restrictions. We also have clear PermaCover custom signs if preferred. It is possible to create ColorCovers in any colour matching Pantone or RAL references. However, for these, order quantities will have to be discussed.
To enquire further, or place an order, you can contact our sales team via phone or live chat. Alternatively, complete the Make an Enquiry form above, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

H6907 ColorCover – FAQ
What is ColorCover H6907?
ColorCover H6907 is a colour-coded, self-adhesive protector for creating customised workplace signs using a standard office printer. A printed insert sits beneath a clear window surrounded by a coloured frame, creating durable floor, wall or door signage for warehouses, factories and other workplaces.
What is the difference between ColorCover and PermaCover?
Both products protect customised printed inserts, but ColorCover includes a coloured border for 5S, safety colour coding and visual management. PermaCover uses a clear design where a coloured frame is not required.
ColorCover is therefore particularly useful when colour helps identify a department, process, zone or workplace function.
How do I create a custom sign using ColorCover?
Print the required text, symbol or graphic onto A4 or A5 paper using a standard inkjet or laser printer. Position the printed sheet beneath the clear window, remove the release film and press ColorCover firmly onto a clean, dry surface.
No specialist printing equipment is required.
What types of workplace signs can I create with ColorCover?
ColorCover can be used for warehouse safety signs, aisle identifiers, directional signs, pallet-area labels, work-cell signs, equipment markers and operational instructions.
The printed content and surrounding colour can be adapted to match your warehouse organisation, safety procedures and visual management system.
How can ColorCover support 5S and lean manufacturing?
ColorCover can identify designated locations for tools, equipment, materials, cleaning supplies, waste and work-in-progress. Its coloured frame provides an additional visual cue for distinguishing workplace zones, processes or functions.
This makes it particularly useful for 5S organisation, lean manufacturing and colour-coded visual management.
What sizes and colours is ColorCover available in?
ColorCover is available in two sizes:
- Regular – 314mm × 252mm, for an A5 insert
- Large – 401mm × 314mm, for an A4 insert
Standard colours include black, red, orange, yellow, green, blue and white. Custom colours can also be produced to specified Pantone or RAL references, subject to production requirements.
Can ColorCover protect barcodes and QR codes?
Yes. Barcodes, QR codes and warehouse location references can be printed and protected beneath ColorCover’s transparent window, making it useful for aisle identification, stock locations and warehouse management systems.
Codes should be tested under the intended lighting, viewing angle and scanning distance before producing multiple signs. Warehouse barcode and location systems are also prominent themes in your search research.
Can ColorCover signs be applied to floors, walls and doors?
Yes. ColorCover can be applied to suitable floors, walls and doors, allowing the same signage system to be used for floor marking, warehouse wayfinding, department identification and storage locations.
The application surface should be clean, dry and free from contamination before installation.
Does ColorCover have a textured surface?
Yes. ColorCover has a lightly embossed upper surface that provides additional texture when used as floor signage.
The product should still be positioned and used according to the site’s individual floor safety assessment, particularly where slip resistance is a specific requirement.
