PermaRoute Overview
PermaRoute is the worlds only complete floor marking system. Developing PermaRoute over the years has resulted in a range that can encompass every section of floor marking for factories, warehouses, assembly areas and logistics bases.
PermaRoute has a layered construction. A PVC material, with a tough, protective, clear top laminate and a strong, permanent adhesive on the underside, results in a material that is impervious to all but the heaviest scuffs and scrapes. The top laminate protecting the PVC layer, either as a solid colour or with a surface print.
PermaRoute heavy duty line marking tape allows for the easy installation of clean lines in the workplace. Doing so helps to create walkways and routes for foot and vehicle traffic to perform tasks efficiently and safely as well as provide safe guidance through work areas. Designated, colour-coded storage areas can also be marked out to help optimise processes.
Application
Application of PermaRoute is easy with a clean, dry surfaces the only preparation required before application. Peeling back the liner and sticking down is all that is required and once applied, the area is ready for use again. This results in minimal downtime, something that is not the case with resin and painted lines. Combining with PermaRoute die-cuts creates an effective and visually appealing system within the workplace.
PermaRoute Sizes
PermaRoute is available for immediate dispatch in 50mm, 75mm and 100mm roll widths at a length of 30m and in a variety of die-cut shapes. View the colour options of PermaRoute within the colours tab.
Custom options are available dependent on order quantities.
Die-Cuts
We have a massive selection of various die-cut shapes to compliment the PermaRoute system. Combining die-cut shapes with the PermaRoute lines allows you to create a system that is perfect for your needs.
PermaRoute 2-Year Warranty

H6903 PermaRoute – FAQ
What is PermaRoute H6903?
PermaRoute H6903 is an industrial floor marking system for creating warehouse aisles, pedestrian routes, storage zones and workplace floor signage. The range combines floor marking tape with arrows, footprints, letters, numbers, corners, junctions and other markers to create a coordinated visual management system.
What makes PermaRoute different from standard floor marking tape?
PermaRoute is more than continuous line marking tape. Its range of colours, shapes, letters, numbers and directional markers allows businesses to create complete routes, storage locations, work zones and warehouse wayfinding systems using one coordinated product range.
Can PermaRoute be used for warehouse aisles and traffic routes?
Yes. PermaRoute can define pedestrian walkways, forklift routes, warehouse aisles and other traffic areas. Coloured lines, arrows and footprints can make different routes easier to recognise as part of a site-specific traffic management and safety floor marking system.
Can PermaRoute be used for 5S and lean floor marking?
Yes. PermaRoute can support 5S floor marking by clearly identifying storage locations, equipment positions, work cells, pedestrian routes and operational zones.
Its combination of floor tape, colours, shapes, letters and numbers makes it particularly useful for creating consistent visual management systems in lean manufacturing environments.
Can PermaRoute be used for warehouse wayfinding and location systems?
Yes. PermaRoute can combine floor lines, arrows, letters and numbers to identify aisles, bays, picking zones and destinations throughout a warehouse.
Location references such as A1, B12 or Zone 4 can help employees identify the correct area more quickly and complement an existing warehouse management or barcode system. Warehouse location and barcode systems are prominent themes in the supplied search research.
Can PermaRoute mark pallet and equipment locations?
Yes. L-shapes, T-shapes, X-shapes, dots and line blocks can identify pallet locations, equipment positions, waste stations and storage areas.
Using individual floor markers rather than enclosing every location with continuous tape can also reduce the amount of floor marking material required.
What PermaRoute floor marker shapes are available?
PermaRoute is available as arrows, dots, footprints, shoes, boots, line blocks and L-, T- and X-shaped markers. Dedicated corners, junctions, bridges and end caps are also available to create neat changes of direction and intersections within a floor marking layout.
Can PermaRoute be used for custom printed floor signage?
Yes. PermaRoute uses a layered construction with a clear protective laminate over the coloured or printed layer. This makes the system suitable for printed designs, letters, numbers, symbols and bespoke floor signage.
Custom options will depend on the required design, dimensions and order quantity.
Can PermaRoute be used with barcodes or QR codes?
PermaRoute can incorporate printed warehouse identification information, including barcodes or QR codes, where suitable.
Any scannable code should be tested under the actual lighting, viewing angle and scanning distance before a larger production run to ensure reliable performance.
What is the difference between PermaRoute and PermaStripe?
PermaRoute H6903 uses a layered PVC construction with a protective clear laminate, making it particularly suited to detailed floor signage, printed designs and complete wayfinding systems.
PermaStripe H6901 is thicker at approximately 1.3mm and uses homogeneous PVC with an embossed surface, making it primarily a heavy-duty line marking tape.
What sizes and colours is PermaRoute available in?
PermaRoute is available in standard 50mm, 75mm and 100mm widths, with rolls measuring 30 metres long. Wider material can also be produced for specialist requirements.
Colours include black, red, orange, yellow, fluorescent yellow, green, blue, dark blue and white, alongside hazard-striped and specialist options.
How do you install PermaRoute floor marking tape?
Apply PermaRoute to a clean, dry surface. Remove the release liner, position the tape or marker and press it firmly onto the floor.
The self-adhesive system requires no paint curing or drying period, allowing routes, markers and floor signage to be installed with minimal disruption.
How durable is PermaRoute?
PermaRoute uses a clear protective laminate to help protect the coloured or printed layer from routine scuffs and wear. H6903 carries a conditional two-year warranty from purchase.
Pallets, transit skids and other heavy objects should not be dragged, pushed or scraped across the marking, as this type of damage is excluded from the warranty.
Can I request a PermaRoute sample before ordering?
Yes. Samples are available so you can assess the colour, finish, profile and adhesion of PermaRoute before installing it throughout a warehouse or factory. Sampling is particularly useful when planning a larger 5S, wayfinding or warehouse floor marking project.
